Deva Fest 2020 Postponed

Deva Fest 2020 has been postponed to August 13th-15th 2021 due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis.

All of our artists will be back for the rearranged bigger and better Deva Fest 2021 and your tickets will be valid for it too!

We’re sorry, this isn’t good news, in fact it’s the last thing we wanted to do. We are really disappointed to tell you we have decided to postpone this year’s festival.

Deva Fest has been rescheduled to the weekend of the 13th, 14th and 15th of August 2021 and will still take place at Chester Lakes, Dodleston.

Obviously, this has been an incredibly difficult decision, but ultimately your safety and that of our team, the artists and volunteers is the most important thing. With all that is going on in the world we feel it’s the right thing to do.

With just over three months until Deva Fest was due to take place, we are still not certain as to when the current lockdown will finish and what the official guidance will be on large gatherings and social distancing in August. It is clear that things won’t get back to normal (whatever that is) for some time – music festivals are already ruled out by the local authority until mid-July, and with the stay-at-home restrictions continuing for the time being, we feel it is best for everyone to take the decision now.

Deva Fest 2020 would have been our biggest and best event yet. In the few weeks tickets were on sale before lockdown over half of the people who came last year had already put their hands up for this year’s event and our first camping field was near capacity. This makes having to postpone very hard for us to take.

We don’t want to be beaten by this virus.

We are totally committed to coming back bigger and better, so whilst we know you will be as disappointed as us, there is some good news…

Firstly, we are delighted to announce that all of the artists booked to appear at Deva Fest 2020 will now appear at the rescheduled 2021 event on the same respective days. So, Friday 13th August 2021 will now be the Old School Dance Anthems Day featuring Bingo Bango, Dream Frequency and Symphonic Ibiza, Saturday 14th August will be Pirate Day with Belle Voci and Sophie Ellis Bextor and Sunday 15th August will be Festival Sunday with Mississippi Riot, Zoot Serious & the Bellyful of Bop and Scouting for Girls.

Secondly, we are doubling down on 2021. We will be adding more star name artists to the bill as well as the ones we have already announced to make Deva Fest even bigger than 2020 would have been.

We will be putting tickets back on sale for 2021 in the coming weeks. The 2021 event will have all the usual extras such as fairground rides included in the price and shuttle buses running from the surrounding towns and villages.

We want to reward our loyal fans who bought tickets for 2020 and showed such enthusiasm for Deva Fest when we went on sale in February. Those of you who took advantage of our Super Early Bird ticket will now be getting even more than you bargained for as your tickets will be valid for the turbo-charged Deva Fest 2021. When tickets go back on sale later this year, we will be selling them at a higher price to reflect that there will be more goodies on offer. We will not sell tickets again at the Super Early Bird pricing that you secured yours for if you were lucky enough to get one.

Your 2020 tickets will automatically be valid for the corresponding day or weekend at the rescheduled Deva Fest 2021. You do not have to do anything for this to happen – we will update our systems automatically.

If you cannot make the new dates, then we will be offering a refund window. If you do choose to have your tickets refunded and then change your mind in the future you will not be able to reinstate cancelled tickets. You will need to buy new ones at our higher price when they go back on sale soon.

We will email everyone very shortly who bought a ticket to outline their options. If you have any queries please contact us by email @

Like so many event and festival organisers our team put in months and months of hard work to plan Deva Fest and our thoughts are with everyone in our industry who are being hit very hard by the effects of Covid-19. Hundreds of people work at our event and we know a lot of them rely on events like ours for income.

We aren’t eligible for any of the Government support on offer, so the best way you can support us if you have tickets is to keep them for the new date and spread the word about our festival so that we can all turbo charge Deva Fest 2021. We think you will be ready for it.

We have always wanted to be your go-to music, food and lifestyle family friendly event in the region and we’re more focussed on that than ever. Please keep your ticket safe and support us for Deva Fest 2021. In return we promise to make the wait worth your while!

We would like to thank our hosts at Chester Lakes, the artists and, of course, you for your continued support in these unprecedented times.

We couldn’t leave you without paying tribute to our NHS and key worker heroes who are working so tirelessly to keep us safe. In the coming weeks we will be opening a ballot for them to win free tickets to all three days of Deva Fest 2021. A small thank you from us, to them for all their outstanding effort. Keep following us for details.

Stay Safe, Stay Home and much love from the Deva Fest team.
