Friday is Old School Dance Anthems Day

Our headline act on Friday needs no introduction – Symphonic Ibiza played Deva Fest in 2019 and brought the house down, so we are delighted to bring them back for 2020.  Cream DJ Andy Joyce will be joined by a full symphony orchestra conducted by Steve Etherington to re-imagine some of the biggest Dance Anthems known to man!

Dream Frequency are best known for some absolute old-school hands in the air bangers and they are heading to Deva Fest to recreate a classic 90s rave! Head back to 1992 for huge tunes like Take Me and Feel So Real as well as experiencing some new output from an act which played to everything from sold out stadiums to the night clubs of the North West back in the day.

More acts announced soon!

Saturday is Pirate Day

Saturday’s headliner is the pop princess and Ibiza livener Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Sophie shot to fame as a vocalist on Spiller’s huge number one single Groovejet and followed it up with Take Me Home and her worldwide smash hit, Murder on the Dancefloor. Her solo debut album went double platinum and she hasn’t looked back with a string of hits ever since.

Finalists from The Voice in 2018 Chester duo Belle Voci’s mantra is Opera For Everyone. Emily and Sophie’s mission is to spread opera and classical music far and wide. The dynamic duo will showcase their fresh take on some classics, as well as their twists on the new music of today. The highlight of their career to date is singing the National Anthem at the 2019 FA Cup Final and they have recently hit the top of the Classical Charts with their version of Coldplay’s The Scientist.

More Acts on the way. Keep following our social media for details.

Sunday is Festival Day

Closing Deva Fest is a headline set from everyone’s favourite sing-along festival band Scouting for Girls! Four times Brit award-winners the boys will head to Deva Fest fresh from a sell-out UK tour. Their impressive back catalogue includes sing-along anthems She’s So Lovely and This Ain’t A Love Song, as well as new material from their recent Top 40 album, The Trouble With Boys.

Joining Scouting on the support bill are local band Mississippi Riot, another act making a triumphant return from DF 2019. The boys will hit the stage with their high energy brand of guitar based tunes. These guys went down a storm last year so make sure you are ring side in the Big Top and ready to go for 2020!

We’ve got plenty more acts to tell you about for Sunday – keep following our social media!

Do you or your band want to play @ Deva Fest?

For 2020 we will have two stages – our main stage in the big top and new for this year our Liquor and Co. stage out in the field!
We’d love to showcase some local talent alongside the famous headliners we have booked

If you want to be considered here’s what you need to do…….

Email with “Deva Fest Music” as the heading.

Provide a link or two to you or your band playing (preferably live, but if not soundcloud or similar will do). Tell us a bit about you, your style of music, and let us know any fee that you need (sorry – we have to ask).

Any act that performs will be entitled to a guest list – tell us how many people – and a basic hospitality rider.

You need to do this even if you have sent us an email or messaged us on social media already.

We can’t book all of you. We got around 50 requests to play last year and judging by this year it’s going to be in the hundreds.

Please contact us by 5pm on Friday 28th February with your email. If you don’t hear back from us by the end of March you have not been successful.

We will try and get back to the acts we want to book as soon as we can in March. Our decision will be final.

Feel free to pass this on to anyone you think will be interested and Good Luck!
