Deva Fest is Cheshire’s family music, food and lifestyle festival
With parades, colour, music, entertainment, food and even Roman Gladiator fights this will be a real feast for the senses.
Friday night is our party night! We start with an early trip to the Oktoberfest as legendary Um Pah band The Bavarian Strollers light up the big top with an authentic Bier Keller session of rousing anthems. If you still have any energy left the high energy rhythm and blues of Zoot Serious And The Bellyful Of Bop finishes off the night.
Saturday is Carnival Day….think Rio, Mardi Gras and the Day of the Dead…. and features iconic multi-platinum selling award winners The Feeling as well as The Dunwells fresh from their sell out UK tour.
Sunday sees us head back to the Old School as Symphonic Ibiza fuse the thrill of a live orchestra with high tempo beats celebrating the last thirty years of dance anthems from the White Isle whilst K-Klass & Baby D will perform a live PA of their iconic tunes.
We are delighted to be partnering with the operators of the Chester Food and Drink Festival – Taste Cheshire – and they will bring their fabulous food and drink exhibitors from all around the country to Deva Fest. From sumptuous street food and bars to the finest quality home-made tastes and treats this will be foodie heaven.
All of our fairground rides are included in your ticket price (fair use policy applies) and there is no need to worry about the weather as our main stage is under cover in a circus style Big Top.
Camping is available to book and a shuttle bus will run at the start and end of every day from Chester Railway Station and is included in your ticket price. Chester Lakes is just off the A55 and free parking will be available.
The Greatest Show!
Deva Fest features parades, a fairground, circus performers and even Roman Gladiators fighting (well it is the Roman city of Chester after all!).
The mysterious Winter Watch bring their parades to the festival on Carnival Saturday.
Their puppeteers, performers & jazz band will take you on a trip through the streets of New Orleans to another world…..
Visit their craft workshops where you and your family can create mysterious parade props and they will also be painting huge murals of the day with their live artists.
The Roman Gladiators take to the stage to defend their honour to the death (not really – health and safety and all that) on Sunday.
We are delighted to welcome the Bring the Fire Project to the event as well and their performers will be walking amongst us on both Saturday and Sunday thrilling with their tricks and showmanship.
Diddi Drama & Laughter Tots Coming to Deva Fest!
We are delighted to let you know that Diddi Drama & Laughter Tots will be at Deva Fest this year offering free drama and craft fun for the little ones!
Diddi Drama does what it says on the tin – drama classes for little ones.
Diddi Drama is a local family run business that is targeted at 18 months to 5 years. It combines role play, movement and music to journey into the imagination. Utilising a range of props, your Diddi Drama Star will go into the land of make believe where a hula hoop won’t be a hula hoop anymore, it could be a time machine. A pompom may not be a pompom, it could be a fire work. The possibilities are endless. I wonder where we will go and what we will see…
Laughter Tots are so excited to be a part of this years’ Deva Fest!! We’ll be providing themed Messy, Craft and Sensory Play. We’ll be holding separate sessions throughout the day for Non Walkers and Walkers. So if your little people want to explore an underwater adventure though bubbles, lights, songs and more!
We have Parades on Carnival Saturday, Roman Gladiator fights on Sunday and all of our fairground rides are free to use (fair use policy applies when we are busy).
Deva Fest is fun for all the family!
WHAT’S ON FOR FAMILIES?
Deva Fest is designed with families in mind! All of our fairground rides are free to use once you enter* and there is loads more to keep the little ones entertained – Diddi Drama & Laughter Tots will be on hand offering free dance and drama lessons and messy play for toddlers and children. We have parades, fancy dress competitions, circus workshops and fun for all ages!
* fair use policy applies at busy times. Some rides have height restrictions. Laughter Tots Saturday and Sunday only.
WHY NOT STAY?
Stay and play in the heart of the action with weekend tickets available for camping, caravans or camper vans.

Getting to Deva Fest couldn’t be easier……we will again run a bus shuttle service at the start and end of each day to and from Chester Railway Station free of charge, or there will be plenty of free parking on site close to the festival area.
